Maybe It’s Karma
December 31, 2006
About 8 months ago I had an unfortunate accident involving my cell phone. I won’t go into the requisite details, but suffice it to say I dropped it in the toilet. It was insured so I thought… no big deal. Well it turned into a big deal. It took about 6 months for my replacement phone to arrive.
When it finally came, I was excited to have my phone back. It was the same model that I had so I was glad that there was no learning curve. But to my shock and horror, my new phone died about 2 days after I got it. Oh yeah… you heard me. Arrival day… one… two… dead.
Verizon felt bad, so they offered to upgrade me to a newer model for free. I graciously accepted the offer and a new phone was shipped. All was well and good.
For Christmas, my parents bought me a Chocolate. You know… those sweet-looking black iPod-ish looking LGs? It’s been awesome. I’ve loved it since the day I got it. Which, by the way, was six days ago.
Today it died.
Verizon is, yet again, sending me another phone but, because of the holiday, it won’t ship until Tuesday. So here I am phoneless. Again. I’m not a huge talker and I’m not one of those people who feels disconnected without my phone.
But come on. Am I cursed by the cell phone gods or something? Maybe it’s a sign that I’m just not meant to own nice things.
Maybe it’s karma.

Maybe it’s because you insist on getting crappy LG’s…lol. Break down and get a RAZR! Those suck, too, but at least u will look cool while using it ;)

Oh, no, no, no, Katie!! The Chocolate is soooooo much cooler than the RAZR. RAZRs are sooooooooo 2006.
You are probably cursed by the cell phone gods, Derick. It’s probably best to just embrace it.

Oh yeah… the Chocolate is much cooler looking than the RAZR. And besides, I love LGs.
They just don’t love me.

Well it’s working now I guess. But I’m still going to let Verizon replace it. If it’s messed up already chances are it’ll do it again. I’m just hoping I got a dud and they aren’t all like this.
